The undisputed champion of Summerveld

I hear that a Gold Circle director got his comeuppance recently after abusing an assistant verbally at Summerveld. The story goes that the assistant decked the director after being subjected to more than he should have and settled the dispute quickly. Kudos to him, from what I have heard the director had it coming to him.

C'mon OTA tell us who and why nobody else will !

Miss T my source is impeccable but I would rather not name names. Let's just say the person who got taught some respect is by far the most disliked individual in GC country. It shouldn't be hard to work that one out.

Txs OTA I understand just find it interesting that nobody reports an incident like this. Very strange but then maybe not!!

.....it happened and was witnessed by several people....but remains at the discretion of the parties involved whether it is taken further and an official complaint is made.....

I’m sure the trainers who’s assistant smashed him will need to follow labour laws and discipline him for fighting at work ?

Not a director and by a long chalk not the most disliked person in GC country. If anyone can show me a harder working GC employee, please do. The employee who hit the GC person will face disciplinary proceedings I am sure. Funnily enough he is normally a very nice person too and I hear he was going to apologise but not sure if he has.

Disciplinary action = dismissal.

And the Turfontein boxers story was everywhere with names and all. Let's hope this assistant who did the deed is at least CONTRITE then all should be good.

Will be interesting to see as we have had cases of similar ilk that occurred at Turffontein and Fairview. Although both cases never went via our legal system, I wonder if any form of precedent will be applied.

I will stick to my most unpopular comment though, seems he has many detractors among the trainers ranks.

Craig if action is taken against the assistant then action should take place against glass jaw too. Severe provocation does not justify assault but it sure goes a long way in mitigation. Cheap white trash could be seen as a racist comment in the environment we find ourselves in these days.
