OTA,not even a close call. Does more for the trainer's and the regional and national association than anyone else. Whoever is feeding you that rubbish is wrong.We will let the disciplinary process sort it out. What was said and particularly why and I gather the trainer being involved before and after will come out. Easy, I suppose it depends on who you ask. My top 5 are all owners that still owe me plenty money!!!!

Then why is/has he been voted on to the committee for the last 20+ years. I guarantee you that if a vote was taken tomorrow for committee members he would get the most votes. Whoever is giving you info has some sort of axe to grind. I am still at Summerveld 3x a week so my ear is pretty close to the ground.

Craig the voting system is flawed, I invite you to investigate it.
Any trainer that earned R840 000 last year in a second job for GC should be hard working.
Should there be a disciplinary inquiry then let the chips fall where they may however there are people who will ensure that fairness prevails.

Tigershark, I am talking about the Natal Trainer's Association which is a straight vote by Trainers who are registered. Just straight numbers.

I find it quite funny that this topic is discussed by all that know yet nobody wants to just say who the 2 involved are. I'm pretty sure all or most have worked out who the GC person is but the other ?? . So if everyone or most know why not just use names. I can understand OTA not mentioning at the beginning but after that it seems all and sundry know. And yeah if the guy was sitting in his vehicle and got smacked then that's a proper liberty. Like I said before just be CONTRITE and all will be fine. Maybe like the other boxer of note this person will also get a few horses named after him!!
