Saw this on a social media platform, and it’s causing a stir among racing folk..

Sure it will be only used when no canter buy or racing?

Far too close to the track even if not in use during the canter past or the race. Some horse's are guaranteed to duck/run away from that when seeing it. Hopefully not at full gallop at the end of the race when already tiring or tired. Not a good idea IMHO.

Clearly planned by someone who has no idea about horses... that should be on the infield somewhere and it will still strike up a prescence but to put it where it is now is clear ignorance and disregard for the horses and jockeys! As Craig has stated, not a great idea and for the reasons above...

Yip the circus has arrived at the Big T - won't be so funny though if (God forbid) one or more horses duck and impede others, dislodging jocks etc .... a disaster waiting to happen ?

How can anyone ok this crazy idea

Cannot understand how this wheel can be placed so close to the track
Only the act of a dumdum In the photo no seats are attached What happens when
coloured plastic etc flap around
Just hope there is no lighting storm on Saturday

Although I don't support this I believe the picture is slightly misleading as it appears that a marquee will be between the outside track and big wheel on a covered area of the inside track.

This wheel has been there in a previous year and caused no harm but there is always a first time, especially with the unpredictability of animals.

In my opinion the potential noise from the tent could be an even bigger danger.

Why tempt fate - move the whole lot to the inside - plenty of space even taking parking into account - imo the only thing on the rails (inside and outside) should be open stands where the few people interested in the racing can watch from
