Donacha O'Brien to win the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th races at Leopardstown and maybe even the 5th.

Giving this race-by-race analysis thing a bash so here goes.

Newmarket

R1 - First Eleven, looked a likely winner on last start at Ascot before running into traffic problems.

R2 - Dettori could well ride a double as the three day festival gets started as he's on Advertise, highly thought of by the yard, however I like the chances of Legends of War for the Eclipse winning partnership fo Qatar Racing, John Gosden and Oisin Murphy.

R3 - Trappy looking big field handicap. Interesting to see retained jock Jim Crowley on the 28/1 shot for Brian Meehan when the owner has the more fancied Jawwaal in the race as well.

R4 - Barsanti for me here. Ultra consistent and the 5/1 is appealing. Respect for Ryan Moore's mount here stepping up in trip.

R5 - Favourite here must be highly thought of as she holds an entry in a Group 1 in Ireland in September and with Moore up she will have her supporters. Loads of first timers so possibly a race to steer clear of or watch the money.

R6 - Symbolisation couldn't go with them at Ascot when trying the seven furlongs but does appeal now that he's back to the mile. Interesting runner here is White Mocha who may be worth a small eachway tickle. Ran brilliantly in the Craven, sandwiched between Masar and Roaring Lion when finishing second but then failed miserably in the Dante when fading badly. Dropped back in trip.

R7 - Leo Minor to end the day on a positive note. Was on course the last time this ran and won, and it was done in good style when reeling the leaders in before putting it to bed inside the final furlong.

Very good meeting at Newmarket today with Godolphin,Gosden and O'Brien yards well represented.
May be very difficult to get winners as each race has improvers!
William Buick took the ride for the first time when winning on R7 No3 LEO MINOR and takes the ride again.
Feel that R4 No 6 MIRAGE DANCER will take some beating.

Leopardstown 8-25

ABJAR.
Formerly trained by Stoute, this gelding by Nathaniel ran in a real hot Newcastle maiden last year.
He finished 2nd and the winner has won three times since, the 3rd horse has won 4 races, the 5th horse has won once and the 6th horse has won 2 times.
He left Stoutes and is at Halfords yard,on its first run for them,he was on the wide outside the whole way of the mile and half contest and finished a creditable 5th at 33/1.
The stable is in good form and with the run blowing away the cobwebs and the extra furlong they are hoping he will go close.
I was up early and managed to get to three shops to get 11/1,I know it's shortened but will drift come race time.

Day off to a shaky start with a 7-1 shot making all to win the Gr3 opener. Brilliant ride.

taken each way on Pentland Lad in the next at Donny. Ran well and quick on debut but ran out of puff. De Sousa has the ride so expected to do much better this time round 33/1

How good is the race coverage at Newmarket and how good is the commentary, just calling the race without any horse sprouting wings or scrapping the paint or greeting the judge or even having fire in their eyes. Just calling it as we all want it to be called.
