War Glory in the opener at Newmarket with the worlds best rider steering him home by a length, come on Moore put some egg on the faces of your detractors who all happen to reside in Durban

Doyle and Buick stuffed each others chances nicely there.
Could have been Dettori at fault there.

That was Ascot Dave and the stewards in the UK very rarely uphold objections.

To those that follow UK / Europe racing, where would Sea the Stars rank among the all-time greats of the turf ?

Over he's best trip,he was right up there with Sea-Bird, Ribot and Mill Reef.
When Kinane says it's the best he's ridden and he never got past 80% of he's ability you have to take notice.
One thing that is unbelievable,is what's happened to he's trainer since.Ill try and find the article.

I saw a list of races Sea the Stars won and it must rank as one of the most impressive lists I can think of...

Chicken he is terrible today. He should never have lost the 3rd on Zaaki today, thought he had it won only for De Sousa to nab him on the line. And the rest of his races where he is running for a place he has always got beaten for the better place.

Since then,John Oxx has had a nightmare.
The most and known unloyal owner in racing, the Aga Khan withdrew all of he's horses from Oxx because some of Oxx's 2 year olds got a virus. The Aga Khan has previous for this,he sacked Johnny Murtagh for losing a race and didn't speak to hes retained jockey Soumillion for 11 months when he got beat by a stablemate.
Oxx then lost another big owner back to the Far East, the owners of Sea The Stars.
He's only got 16 horses in training. The biggest collapse since Arsenal away to United.

Now compare The Aga Khan to the most charming, kind and loyal Khallid Abdullah.
How he stuck with Sir Henry Cecil, when SHC was wallowing after multiple big owners left him high and dry.
Then the gods repaid their faith and gave those two proper gentlemen Frankel.Still brings a tear now.
