Nice competitive racing - difference of opinion all round makes it interesting - here's my take:
R1: Rendezvous needs to fall over to lose this
R2: Not a lot between the 4 form runners - Linneker holds Elevated on an indirect line through William Longsword, but has not won for 672 days  safest inclusion imo is Top Shot - stable in form, ideally suited to this track and trip; Silver Scooter also has good from this track and trip, but also has not won for 539 days and actually held by roughie National Key:
1-2-3-6-5
R3: Another small field; Guns and Roses first run after AHS injections, so worth opposing in the BP imo; Runalong very good comeback run and de Melo seems to have the pick of the rides for the stable; She's a Dragon imo better over shorter; Snowdonia likes this track and trip but seems held by the stable mate and also had a poor run on Tuesday, Cold Cash looks held on form, but stable is firing so not without a chance:
3-4-6-2-5
R4: Could be a trappy start to the P6; Aerobatic has never run over 1000 and stable rider seems to have gone for the opposition in the form of All Eyes on You, who is set to improve, but also probably needs more ground; this could leave the way open for the debutante Ensemble, who has pole position and has shortened in the betting; Raksha one of quite a few other debutants, so who knows?
11-5-1
R5: Pinnacle Stakes where Cool Chardonnay is best in; this is not easy though as both CC and Storm Warning come off breaks - SW has had 5 wins from 9 tries this track and trip, so can't be ignored; Save the Rhino also not badly in, and may now need this type of trip; Tendre under sufferance, but may be better than rated; Bondiblu also under sufferance and looks held by SW, but won very well last time - I'm including all 5 in the P6 and JP
3-4-5-1-7
R6: Another competitive little handicap 'for the girls'; Shivering Sea has a win and a 2nd from 2 tries this track and trip, so looks very good value imo; Alileo unbeaten this track and trip and must have a huge chance if ready after a break; Spring Wonder could be held by Alileo, but is much better off with both Shivering Sea and Myfunnyvalentine on their latest meeting, but Myfunnyvalentine was coming back after a break that day, so set for improvement; Secret Star looks to have a tough task at these weights:
9-4-6-2-1
R7: Very competitive; support has come for Romi's Boy, but although he has an obvious chance, he has his work cut out at the weights imo; not too many of these seem to be without a chance and another race where one needs to load up in the P6 and JP:
9-5-2-1-12
R8: Interesting Novice Handicap where 6 3yr olds take on a 4yr old; Varimax imo very impressive - after running 2nd behind feature race winner Purple Diamond and winning his maiden by a street, he fluffed his lines at Greyville - rated highly by the handicapper, but this will be his test; not sure if he can give Well Connected 3.5 kgs; for me these 2 stand out - but this is the type of race to judge the handicapper's ratings
4-1-3-6
R9: Penny from Heaven looks the banker; only has the first timer Inthepurplerain and Piccadilly Square (who needs more improvement imo) to beat:
10-2-9
Enjoy

Silver Scooter has had a sharp drop in rating over a relatively short space of time, should be competitive here.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

'Rendezvous needs to fall over to lose',the bookies didn't think so as it went from 3-10 to 7-10 and couldn't even run second. These okes know what's cutting.

They are on the Turffontein INSIDE track today , rather narrower racing , suited more to on pace runners , Rendezvous had never been to the track, it was 2nd up and was always going to race near the tail of the field.. struggled to make ground on the leader.
Will be better suited on bigger track and over further ..crazy price served up today 3/10 to 7/10

In terms of money there is not much seperating Top Shot and Man’s Inn. The only challenge to these two is National Key. Lineker deserves a mention, having a line through it’s stablemate Man’s inn. (1) Lineker (2) Top Shot (3) National Key
