Could make arguments for most of the nominees in most categories. Will be divided opinion for sure. I see only the older male is, and rightfully, undisputed.

I see there is no award category for online Media ? Is that not usually included in the print section?

So guys like Bonski, James Goodman ( few of his shows have caused a stir this year , abc for 10 year service can't go forward for an award ?

Lol..not quite, I'm not even sure he is top sprinter.
Legal Eagles 3 g-1 can't be bettered and only Smart Calls amazing run in the met prevented him from being lauded a wonder horse.

Yet another subjective process instead of a points system where it is more clear cut and not left to the opinions of people that may have a conflict of interest, directly & indirectly.

The judges panel is Andrew Harrison, Matthew Lips, Roger Smith, Jay Harrielall, Robert Garner, Graeme Hawkins, Nico Kritsiotis and Larry Wainstein (non voting chairperson).

I am sure that the panel has been thoroughly screened and is totally impartial.

Sure they have been T, well at least some are man enough to apologize years afterwards. :oops: :ohmy:

Racing should ditch this "Old Boys Club"... We do not VOTE on the outcome of a race so why on earth should we have a panel decide on accolades? A calculator and a predetermined points system is all we need. This same system should be applied for qualification for races like the July and Met ... that would exclude dubious entrants into those races and force owners and trainers to contest the best qualifying races if they require a ticket for Blue Riband races. This system is particularly flawed when in comes to two-year-olds...often the winners come from the last feature races on Gold Cup Day disregarding earlier graded wins. The system is open to manipulation and I am astonished that the breeders allow their product to be affected by a panel rather than factual confirmation of excellence!
