marinaresco won 2 legs of cape triple crown,ran 2nd in july and won a gr1 in kzn.
seems right to me.

not shocked is a worthy winner , but, Abashiris achievement,including his run at the weights in the July, should have been enough. Marinaresco may end up being the best but his win over a very weak field in the G1 should not be viewed as the same achievement as pulling off the triple crown imo

Abashiri was the better of the 2 in the July at levels

Sure the triple crown achievement was better than winning a weak grade 1
