The debate of the owner getting on first will not excist if our tote is the only way to bet on horesracing.
Bigger pools means bigger stake cheque's, why have a punt then.

Food for thought:
Who is the biggest punters in this industry.
Owners or the normal punter out there.
I would say that punters are the majority but turnover wise owners punt bigger than the normal punter.

What is the big fuss all about? The owner obviously felt his horse can’t lose. He let Joe public know about it only after He/they claimed the horse on Friday from an opening call of 5/2 to 6/10. The idea of owner not getting on first is blown out of proportion.

Is it,because he is an RA director and that he should not have misled the public?
Give credit to the man for at least sharing that info to the public.If his horse had won then he would have been hailed as a hero.........

When Mike Azzie is interviewed…..his horses ‘can’t lose’.Based on that info staright from the trainers mouth,his horses always shorten.

Why is there no uproar when they fail to deliver?

SAP i think the issue here is that why there was different info coming from the ass trainer and the owner, sure a horse can get beat at those odds but y did the ass trainer say the horse will need more ground then just be4 the owner says its a sure thing?

G-Man…….No one has really lied here………the assistant trainer gave his honest opinion and the horse ran accordingly.
Maybe he should take out his trainer’s license and start training on his own. Based on what he said he def knows more than GW about the goings on in the yard.

If anybody that was misled it was the owner himself(mind you I think GW also has an interest in this horse)

but then how come the owner had info that the horse would win?? who told him that?? should be the trainer or ass trainer??? and according to them the horse was not ready to win.... and if the owner had seen the horse doing work and was happy then y wouldnt the trainer and ass be???

How many times has a stable stated that they think they cant lose and get rolled and how mant times have they said they need a run and they end up winning.

Horses are athletes not machines they cant tell you what they feel they cant tell you they like the grass not the sand ,if Johann was such an expet he would not be an assistant and wouldbe driving a 450 merc or i should say 650 merc.

Everyone has an opinion the trainers never study the opposition so if a horse is not a star they say migh place but they neverrf really look at the opposition.

Everything has a price and at 6/10 im sure Derek would have watched his horse with out having a bet but 28/10 he thought bwas value in a weak race.

It's about opinions and value - the Horse doesn't know his price!

Ultimately, s**t can happen before they get to the track, at the track and during the race - that's why it's called gambling! There is NO such thing as a certainty, as we ALL know.

As far as the owners getting on before all and sundry I maintain that the person who puts the food in the mouth is informed of their Horses well-being before any one else - and I'll not agree with anyone arguments to the contrey.

Imo it's what you've earned through the 1000's it cost to get them to the track - plain and simple!

As this example proves, the owner took the words of the asst and thought he was more forward than he was and lost HIS money! Another time, maybe he listens to the Trainer, only has a few bob on and he romps - lol! As I say, that's why it's called Gambling - nothing is certain and Horses are Animals NOT machines.

Karel what the shit did the owner do wrong ,if he wants to back his horse are you saying he should put an add in the sporting post or maybe put an add on teletrack say 2 d ays before som thatthe bookies price up at 1/3 .

in race 3 today lucky should have advertised yesterday that his horse is fancied so thy couldhave got 2-1 .
