This thread amazes me, as an America.

We have no legal bookmakers. Have not had them in half a century or more.

All of these issue are totally irrelevant to the way we play the game.

If somebody in a stable yard was interviewed and asked their opinion, horseplayers over here would give it scant notice, because they know the obvious conflict of interest.

Yet, for reasons that are obvious to you, you guys actually rely and revel in them.
