FTSE has only rallied because the centrals banks around the world have pumped money into the economies and there's a likely cut in interest rates around the corner. These are only short term solutions and central banks can't do this forever(which they've been doing for the last few years) or the whole system will fail. There's still a great deal of uncertainty and the important EU countries still refusing talks. I still believe the state of Britain is still in the early stages of the apocalypse but lets revive this thread in 6 months and see who was right
You should become a spin doctor or a doom and gloom merchant. Yes Britain is in for a rough ride but to use the word apocalypse belongs to the Daily Mail. You are correct when you say that it's short term solutions re the central banks but it's been put in place to give the economy a kick start. Yes the public are once again holding onto their money, my missus has not bought a thing from Amazon for a week, which is mind blowing.
This is an interesting quote that pretty much sums up my view on Brexit and central bank intervention to save the day.
'The BoE had to stop the haemorrhage with a bail out to the tune of £250bn. That's £3900 for every man, woman and child in the UK; or 13 years of £350m a week (40 years of the actual cost of EU membership). In other words, even if this is the only cost of Brexit (and I'm not including the threats to thousands of jobs that have been announced) even by the fallacious maths of Vote Leave, it will be 13 years until we see a penny of savings from not being in the EU. It'll actually be 40'

he doesn't care dtf and if he were my mate i would be ashamed of myself. He is going to get off lightly as the inteligence will be blamed for going to war and the armed services will be blamed for the mess left behind.

One of the main politicians who campaigned to leave and who has put herself up for PM has been caught out. Just a mere 2 years ago in an interview said it would be a disaster to leave the EU. The sheep followed and Britain is in the financial pooh. Shops are empty, people not spending anymore and people are going to lose their jobs thus no money for the NHS but on benefits,
