R5 is an interesting race. Is the 3 year old and two time winner, Old Em, that good that she can concede 6.5kgs to the 4 year old and three time winner Tapaway? I see Old Em is carded as the reserve runner for the Grade 2 Post Merchants Sprint at Greyville on Friday night, so yes the stable must believe that she is above average to have nominated her, but won't be fulfilling that engagement. I'm not convinced, because the penny does appear to have dropped with Tapaway and she is on the cusp of reeling off the hat-trick. Her three career wins have been over the 1000m. Admittedly Tapaway is taking on much stronger than previously faced, but she certainly has been ultra consistent since returning from a 15 month layoff. I think she's going to roll Old Em.

For me, the double, Tapaway X Trip Tease (5/1) is worth a go.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

The last time out Navette looked a winner but the wheels came off over slightly longer ground. Today they running it over a shorter distance. Can't see why it should not romp home.

The Azzie runner race 6 would need to be a Champion to beat Trip Tease after a problem and 18 months of the track... noticed a slight nibble for it

I'm with you - I don't believe TT has ever achieved his rating on turf - also strictly at the weights I think that the stable mate One Man's Dream has a big chance imo

Loads of scratchings - also One Man's Dream no longer get the apprentice, so no claim - for me each way Open Road in the first and Seventh Symphony in the 5th with Hilily in the 7th
