Turffontein Guineas Day
9 years 3 months ago
Lots of talk but no thread - so let me open something for once in my life...
R3 Matsuri has been looking for this trip - really fancy this on a dry track
R4: Beware French Navy and the dreaded Tarry prep runs - Judicial lover the trip and is my choice
R5: Think it lies between the top 3 - preference for Lazer Star at the odds
R6: I need help here ....
R7: Negroamara - only way she gets beat is if the going turns up soft and she does not act
R8: If it remains dry - Champagne Haze from New Approach, if it gets wet, got to consider Abashiri and Brazuca
R9: If it stays dry, Arch Rival, otherwise Marmalady
R10: Rather watch the rugby

Track should be okay, forecast is good for now and I think we will get through all races.
Not looking to play a card of races, just a few fancies.
I'll be taking some eachway on Talktothestars for shits and giggles.
My all to comes through the week have been shared amongst two runners, Negroamaro, I'm not one for favorites but she looks a whole handful to beat, if she is beat then I will salute the winner but not my pocket... Bruzuca to close off all multiples, the distance does concern me slightly but he is one super horse, others do appeal, in specific New Predator and Champagne Haze. No disrespect to the Azzie runner, could well win but just not for me, others in this field are weighted well on some previous formlines. The winner in my mind and understandbly so will come from the Noah from Goa formline, there is none better in this race to follow IMO.
Good luck to all!

Champagne Haze and Suyoof in the Guineas. Will edit this post tomorrow with write-ups.
Negroamaro in the fillies version.
Like a bit of Jayyed at first glance.

Heavy rain for well over an hour in the South. Recon it will be soft going tomorrow. A good forecast tomorrow so it might dry out by some of the later races.
