The only danger to Master Sabina is Captain America

Interesting price on Bouclette Top 33/1. If Legislate flops the race will go to any of Bouclette Top, Captain America or Futura.

Legislate has never lost returning from a layoff. IMO a fit Futura will never beat a fit Legislate, long and short quite honestly. I think Bouclette Top will be there with Noah from Goa, Captain America will defintely be a contender. Futura just not for me, will not make my PA. Legal Eagle probably needs a longer run in but the Met is probably more ideal for LE. For me in order Legislate x Noah from Goa x Captain America x Bouclette Top.

Enjoy the race!

does anybody know why Marcus has jumped off act of war . it really looked like Marcus experimented with different tactics last time on aow, coming from stone last as opposed to racing up there as usual. So strange that he has now opted for legal eagle ? Especially after legal eagle's below par comeback run .

Anybody?

wants to stay as the regular pilot on Legal Eagle to give himself the shot of riding a potential winner in the Met or the July. If he chooses act of war Khumalo might get given the ride back for the Met and July on Legal Eagle. Long term choice rather than just a decision based on this race.

For me the bottom line is that Futura is the best horse in the race and at level weights should win. Take the 2/1 on Futura now as I feel he will start a lot shorter come Saturday.

3/1 available on Same Juristiction in the fillies race. Even from the poor draw her class could prevail.

He is always first choice for Jooste(weights allowed) so he takes the best ride. Legal Eagle is 120 AOW 115 so at levels Legal Eagle must be the pick.

Guys please dont leave out Noah From Goa from ur perms.

This horse has been giving me the nagging feeling since he was entered for the QP and made the final field.
I think his ability has even shocked the mdk stable as they did not come down with the intention to run him in QP.
I recall even after his guineas win matthew said they will see from here.

Im gna tk a few bets onto the 8.5/1 and cover him with a few ind p6 and jp.

Just maybe... He will be something special

Imo it lies between Legislate and Futura with Captain America in 3rd.

Not being privy to stable info, one needs to try and figure out the strategy - I think Legislate runs well fresh, and is at best over this trip - so they will go all out to win this as I don't believe he can beat Futura over further.

As for Futura, imo he is being aimed at the Met, but should still have improved enough to turn the tables with Captain America - so straight forward 1,2,3 ;)

Legal Eagle imo can't trouble these 3 at level weights and also the 1600 is surely not his optimum trip - so I think Act of War will finish in front of him - and probably will finish 4th - but there are a few 'dark horses' competing for that 4th spot.

Not sure that the 3yr old is up to this class, so the ones to challenge Act of War for 4th will be Master Sabina (surely better over further these days), Gold Onyx (3rd last year and great comeback run) and King of Pain, who is fast running out of excuses and need to feature prominently here in order to make the Met field.

Great race in prospect - can't wait B)

Thinking back to the Rising Sun Gold Challenge, it should be remembered that Futura was prepping for the July whilst Legislate was having a full tilt at the said race. Clearly remember Futura only getting going very late in the race and without being overly extended, finish 4th just over a length behind Legislate. Most smelt that rat, including dummy here, and backed Legislate.

Listening to Fayd'Herbe's post race interview after the last race on Wednesday, Futura will be having a full go and is the one they all have to beat, sounded very confident he'd win.

Maybe trying to emulate the Pocket Power achievements of winning the Queens Plate/Met double for a few successive years.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

With all due respect to Bernard, he's never sat on Legislate - he doesn't know how good he is. He has to be confident of his horse's chances, who wouldn't be? He's riding last year's winner.

Legislate was having a full tilt for that race but remember it was after a similar 6 month layoff just like on Saturday, I assume he'll be having a full tilt again.

MOMF, it would be naïve to believe Bernard has not worked Legislate considering they are stable companions. With Futura being the exception in the Gold Challenge, i.e. not having a full go, look back and see who Legislate has beaten in the come back runs you refer to? Ashton Park and a returning from problems Willow Magic. Think it's fair to say Legislate was expected to beat those horses with no disrespect to the respective owners. The calibre he tackles tomorrow is much stronger, it must be said.

Anyway, this is not intended to talk you out of backing your fancy, as always, I am just sharing an opinion, I hope Legislate wins for you.
