Why does he change to a "sing song" when talking about horse? Surely this is not the way he has an ordinary conversation.

Doesn't look like there is any rain about 360 degrees around where I stay (+-50kms north of Durban)...ground hard, grass brown to grey, water restrictions in place...

The grass course will be in a terrible state by next week as water restrictions mean they will not be able to irrigate... :(

@naresh...the clouds have come and then the wind gets up to push it away...things really really dire on the North Coast...there were 3 drops of rain one morning at 2 but not even a sniff of more in the last 2 months...dams Like Hazelmere and Pringle below 30% and likely to last only another 30-60 days so restrictions already in place...may go as low as 100/ltrs per household and if that does not help, only water will be supplied via tankers...

Was blown away by The Conglomerate's gallop - what an action

Futura looks in top notch condition

Kolkata caught the eye - big runner in gold vase

Power Kings gallop or should i say trot was very disappointing, we haven't seen the horse since the Greyville 1900 and then a trot today which showed very little. The comment in the Computaform is "slow-ease-distress" so today's trot didn't help at all. I liked this horse as a value bet but now i don't know if i will get a run for my money.

I put this horse in the same group as Helderberg Blue, Dynamic & Dynastic Power, none of which are going to be world famous but at the weights could run a place at decent odds.

I would like Dean to comment at some stage on why the work was so sedate today.......

A comment from Anton would be nice.

He was smiling from ear to ear during his gallop with The Conglomerate
