?......like Stans horses simply a change in environment and the escape from the Cape crawl........not which yard the horses land up in.........class will always come to the fore........even small unrated trainers can identify a good horse amongst the battlers they get stuck with......

I'm inclined to go with this as a partial reason - Mj Byleveld won a few races for outside trainers when he was riding in Gauteng as we have truer paced races which suited his riding style

Good horses make good trainers........gr8 horses make gr8 trainers.........Dean K KZN stings have his better sorts or why would one send an ordinary horse to the centre that is attracting the best......and likewise for the other raiders......the better bred horses with ability and usual feeding supplements and conditioning thrive in the climate........so it is not strange that even Stan Elley can have feature race contenders and land up taking some of the spoils......

A lot of Cape horses are doing well at the moment. A few strings had some mild respiratory issues during the Cape season and their performances were short of expectations. As were many of Driers string down there. Some of these horses seem to have come well since coming to Kzn and the Elly horses apparently are among them. Credit to all those involved.

Helderberg Blue is better than that run, The winner and runner up have never been far off the the best but always a bridge too far. The July though is a tough race and with luck and likely low weights I wouldn't write any of them out of a place chance if they make the field.

Still do not understand why there is a need to dress down Stan to make a point....... Although i do not know him personally i think he is a solid trainer and great form reader. Considering the size of his string over the years he gets great results.

DPower had a 4kg swing on PKing something i SMS'ed to The Magi on Friday night as I made DPower a good thing........... The weights will kill DPower in the July which as Frodo says brings PKing into the reckoning.....
