There is hope for the Sharks........they bought a number of province's top youngsters for next year. I just hope they dont get lost under your coaching staff and are left to play their natural province style game.

So what say the two biggest, biased, one eyed Natalians about WP? You will both receiving an invitation from the WP rugby board to join them and the team on their victory parade and piss up at Forries in the coming days. Flights and accommodation all included so long as you leave your Shark replica shirts at home. If you are good you could even get your pics taken holding the Currie Cup.

Having watched the game and these views are purely from a neutral perspective
I really felt for the Bulls and the supporters, its extremely difficult to play against 16. Some of those decisions where extremely dubious bordering on ridiculous

no jokes but I thought that the ref blew in favour of the Bulls. Were we watching the same match? Maybe our individual interpretations of the law differs, I don't know but at least WP made it into another final, now hopefully they can get a home final against the Cheetahs

How many penalties did we get for Kitshoff stuffing up his opposition in the scrums ? Ref was useless but far more towards WP than the Bullietjies.

Even though i only saw the 2nd half i agree with you Chicken
My friend who is a die-hard Bulls [and HM] supporter said he would have felt worse if they had won with all the help they got from the ref.
And this was out of the blue 2 hours AFTER the match!
Did you notice the poor crowd attendance?
He thought they would have had more support if it was played at Newlands

Well done to WP, they got a big chance in the final as yesterday Cheetahs showed that the Lions are not invincible and if not for that yellow card would have been a diFferent result imo

Moving on from the Currie Cup our prospects for next years' Super Rugby presently look dire.
I think we can draw a line through the following teams right now - Sharks, Kings, Cheetahs & Bulls as none of them show any potential to challenge with their current personnel and gameplans.
Lions have been playing the Currie Cup with what is, effectively, a Super Rugby squad whereas the Bulls & Stormers get some Springboks back so will (maybe) become stronger.
Like them or hate them the Stormers are probably going to be the only realistic option for being competitive although they will need to find a flyhalf capable of performing at Super level very quickly.
NZ announce their final, settled squads on October 28th whereas SA is likely to still be fiddling around on that date. So much for local 'professionalism'.
Nevertheless - with a slew of retirements and moves to Europe pending from all franchises you can look safely look forward to some bizarre results next season. Maybe the Argentinian franchise to surprise?

Going to be interesting to see the make up of the Sunflower Wolves team of Japan and the one from Argentina. Looking for a team to support next season. Maybe I will go with the Argentinians.
