The undeniable fact is that local racing is and has been making a loss for years, propped up only by operators selling off assets(don't be fooled by the soccer subsidy-that will never be forever in a public company) what will happen when the cupboard is bare?
Is seeing that situation as a positive, more damaging to racing,in the long run, than identifying it as a negative???

Yes, Rob

And especially if the situation is presented as a "False" positive, then it is a 1000 times more damaging !

Rob, and Leseding, precisely. It is important to hear the negatives and the frustrations, and better to see them in an honest open forum. Being hopeful doesn't mean being naive. But it does help motivate people both on the outside, and inside, of the circle to get moving and do what they can to move it forward. Every little bit helps. There are major challenges which cannot be overcome overnight. We are aware of those and plans are in place, and some are being considered. For the meantime though, small goals can be achieved.

Don,

Thanks for your positive reply.

I have no issue with you, or anybody at "Its a Rush".

I just think things should have been done differently, not "Better", (If you know what I mean)".

I am prepared to make the following Offer.

With the support of Bob Brogan and the Clanners, we will draw up a summary list of 1) Must haves 2) Should haves and 3) Nice to haves regarding our "Posts" for Horse racing.

(This will require Bob letting us use ABC as Forum. I will supply an e-mail address for ALL and ANYBODY to forward their suggestions. These "Suggestions" will then be formally presented in a Report to you on behalf of ABC and the Clanners. It will be done at NO CHARGE by myself. I will do all the compilation and preparatory work. Bob, Rob Faux and you can draw up a formal mandate).

However a NDNC Agreement will be drawn up regarding the use and Application of the Final Report.

There you have it. Discuss it amongst yourselves, and let me know at leseding@email.com. We can the taken it from there.

Yes, Bob. That is exactly what my offer entails.

We, (If you are willing), will do the spade work that does not seem to have been done.

This could ensure a bigger chance of success !

How NOT to sell the Geegees !

A fantastic article Bob.

But also another nail in "Its a Rush's " coffin.

Wasn't anybody in that Organisation not aware of Dillon's and Munger's trip to Dubai.

This was fantastic Advertising and promotional material for the "Its a Rush" Campaign..

But now LOST !

By the way, the Lady in the photo with the article was NOT wearing an evening Dress.

She was just neat and tidy, and properly attired !

Good example of why the It'sARush Campaign is needed and must succeed. There is lack of unity and communication between key groups. Also, no knowledge about communication to an outside market and why it is important. In this specific case, why did the school not:
a)contact the press
b)phone/email/message Michael Varney or someone on the team
c)FB/tweet themselves

??

HOw does anyone inside the circle communicate with the inner circle even? Let alone to the outside of the circle. At least now, with It'sARush, there is a central point to where such information can be fed, and from where it can be broadcast.

Good point Don

Communication is often where everything fails in organisations and it is not only the message but the tone of the message and timing thereof that is essential for impact.

Yes, Don and LSU

This is just one of many issues.

However, "Its a Rush" cannot sit on its backside, and expect other Organisations in Horse racing to come to it and forward or supply it with Racing Information.

"Its a Rush" must get off its backside, and make all these other Organisations aware of what "Its a rush" can do for them.

Set up the right lines and structures of Communication !

Don, "Its a Rush" now has the MAN (Michael Varney), the MONEY (A small Budget as you say) and the OPPORTUNITY (Its a Rush Campaign).

So "Its a Rush" must lift its backside, and make things HAPPEN !

Don't wait on other people or Organisations !

PS. Don please define you idea of a small Budget ! (Strictly confidential of course).
