You have so much to learn Pirates...do yourself a favor and start analysing data rather than using your time to write shit here. If you do not think intent plays a role you have no clue... Just look at how MR changes on horses all the time and you should figure out yourself that horses does not just loose form and get it back again...apply your mind perhaps.

I'd love to meet your dad - sounds like a guy I could relate to

And it is of course your prerogative to keep posting your 'ratings' on here - just as it is anyone's choice to read it or not - so don't get your knickers in a knot when nobody acknowledges you - I for one have had a few glances at your site and your 'ratings' - but have to side with pirates - you can certainly put forward some weird motivations - so I'd rather procrastinate and study form B)

Yeah...right Loopy....
Pirates been punting successfully for a lot longer than you can probably remember....
And like Frodo, will still be around for a long time....
In the last 40 odd years, I know of many who have come and gone. Maybe u will outlast everyone who is currently around?
One thing is for sure, I have the utmost respect for the "stayers" in the punting game, the ones who have stood the test of time.

Louis,

The information era is here, elders should not be afraid of it but should embrace it OR be left behind... What stood 40 years ago has evolved and data processing today that was not possible in the past highlights today how the industry has changed.

You can have as much respect for the elders, the "stayers" as you like and I echo that sentiments of respect for our "heritage" but fact is software is the future and the future is here. That same respect you have for the elders is warranted, yes, but embrace that procrastination is not the answer and "stayers" open the minds to have that same respect for evolution ... it highlights with the data possible to analyse today the state of a crooked and dying industry due to it's greed that has corrupted it's core existance and suffocates the punters dying breaths
.

I see that data today and stand by it's conclusion therefore the statements made in earlier posts.

One of the great "elders" , namely the late uncle Roy Unsworth once commented on TV that, " every year BMW and other car manufacturers bring out new gadgets and later technology. But, the horse is still exactly the same and hasn't changed in the last 100 or more years, since we have been racing. The horse is or isn't well or sound or fit or even maybe, good enough. It's our job as Trainers to know these things." He probably added, in his own style, his trademark words, "softly, softly."

We all embrace technology, but all of your systems and computers cannot tell you how the horse has been working, eating, striding etc. And when your system flops, you call the game corrupt. Rather that, it seems, than to admit that computers dont train horses or ride them.

Enjoy yourself.....Whilst it lasts.

"computers cannot tell you how the horse has been working, eating, striding etc" is so true Louis so true... and none of the public has that "insider information" that all you trainers have although we are shouting for a transparent industry with those kind of reports on the morning of the race... BUT... it's NOT just the horse that makes a race... the horse is the trustworthy part, the loyal one that would always try it's best ... unfortunately the horse does not run without a rider... and the rider gets instructions from the trainer... on the flip side then again you do not have the insider information of technology showing how corrupt many of you fellow trainers in the industry is.... the gap is closing ...

Loopy I think it's tremendously unfair for you to state "many of you" including Louis as corrupt. Louis epitomizes what we as punters long for, transparency in the game. I think if you mean to include Louis in that statement which it appears you are he deserves an apology. Credit on your methods and success that you have had and developed however I as well as many on here appreciate Louis's honest comments on his runners much more and to indirectly call him corrupt is unfair. Apologies if I misinterpreted your statement.
