I was thinking the same as well.

The main reason why Turffontein has been postponed is because of the expected traffic problems.

The Sunday, Clairwood meeting has been moved out of respect for the Funeral, but there will be betting on Foreign racing.

Lol - I suppose a lesson was learnt after the traffic debacle on Summer Cup day - can't fault them being pro-active (tu)

Frodo,is that not due to the form? .................have checked a few other 3 yr olds,none of whom seem to have been reduced by the "new" amendments.

Tiger Territory won his last start off a rating of 100 - downs to 97 now

Saint Angelique down from 91 (running abt 4 lengths behind Athina who was a 101) down to 85

Moofeed down from 82 to 76

OK ,you have now got me completely confused..........lol:S

I thought they had merely reversed the action taken on the 1st August...........reducing the 3yr olds(that were never raised) seems to be almost completely opposed to what they intended to achieve in August.......our ratings being too low internationally ???????

I would put money on a new course record being set on Wednesday.

Well if the 3yr olds were never raised in the first place, then it would seem that are now well in against older horses - another example Not Sulking down from 85 to a 79

I see Interbet are showing "event abandon" over the Turffontein races. Has the meeting been abandoned?

I think it may just be as a result of moving the meeting to tomorrow - however if this rain continues through tomorrow morning, it will not be a surprise if Interbet is correct.

I see the forecast is for the showers to start clearing from the west from tomorrow - guess it's just a case of how much rain we get until then and if it starts clearing from tomorrow morning or afternoon (if at all )

Frodo they changed the date yesterday and then opened up the betting for tomorrow. As you say if this rain continues much longer I don't see them racing tomorrow anyway.

I see interbet have prices up again. After all the rain we have has since last night I recon we should look for horses that can swim well.
