At the moment they going to try and race. Most weather forecasts are not good. Clairwood did not get the huge storm that we did.

for me phumelela do the right thing. is no so easy just to postpone for the week. they spend 40 million on poly let them use it. if trainer dont want to run horse then he has option to scratch. is one of few times in last 10 or so year the local trainer have the advantage over cape raiders good luck to them. let us hope for a local is lekker win for the pe boys today the cape have enough big races for there horse >:D<

I agree with you Flash if they postponed I think the cape horses which arrived yesterday would be even more disadvantaged....but I am in the P/e girls / boys camp.

No betting - waiting for news on scratchings.

Personally I think moving the meeting to the new Polytrack was the only option
apart from completely abandoning it. We have had buckets of rain in PE, and
no sign of the sun. Lots more rain forecast for next week as well.

Still grey and overcast this morning, with a strong easterly (that will be a tail wind
for that short run in) predicted for today.

If you cannot handle it that phum does try to give you a race then scratch and go let your horse stand in a stable for another month ,

great call phum and that was always the reason why pollytrack was constructed , if they cannot race on grass then move it ,

the moaners always moan , get out of the oven if you cannot handle the heat and once again

The meeting on the polytrack went off well....just a real pity that the main race was not run on the grass....supposedly a 32 pen reading so no reason not to be able to run a grade 3 on that. The final decision on that race which was what the whole day was about should surely have been made on Sunday morning, not Saturday morning?Jocks who walked the course yday said no issue to race on the grass for the main race......
Anyway a great event put on by everyone in PE and well done.
