It has rained here in PE,day and night, very hard since 2.30 yesterday afternoon, now showing signs of easing off but no sun or wind...
Agreed there is the Polytrack but how many of the horses both local and visiting have had experience of an artificial surface.
Seems that the Operator is damned if he do or damned if he don't.
I think there will be scratchings and some won't act on the surface.
IMHO .

It was amazing that when I looked mid-week,rain was scheduled for all race meetings (except for CT) over the week-end so I suppose we lucky for what we get!

Completely unfair move......for a Grade 3 to be moved from turf to Poly is a crazy move.....the race should have been moved to another day.....there are horses running in this race that have features lined up in the cape season and for a horse that has not even worked on the poly to be expected to race on it is surely absurd?Suppose the option is to scratch and then the Gr 3 will be left with an average field......already I hear the bottom four MR horses to be eliminated...also unfair.

People running our racing have no idea. Then again if you believe that you should scratch your horse. You cannot run and complain at the same time.

Two sides of the coin....I would not race my horse....if I could afford one....

So now u go and scratch because of the moving goalposts......a bit of back to front or what? All of this uncertainty could easily be avoided had the feature been moved to next week....

I agree 100% that the race should have been postponed to next week.

What I dont understand ,what about the bigger fields on pollytrack, I thought it is limited to 13 runners per race what happen to the bigger fields,or can it handle 16 horses per race?
