I've got the bug and it's irritating me. Anyone out there with some good home remedies?

You could try Olive leaf extract tincture from Dischem, but you need more at acute stage than normal preventative dose.

Whisky and Crabbies green ginger wine Hot as u can take it plus I chew Scott's capsule every morning, no idea what is in it but have not had a cold since Samson died

Has worked.....

2 tablespoons apple cider

One finger length green ginger, cut into pieces or diced

Handfull of black pepper (corns)

Big handful of fresh mint

2 / 3 tablespoons lemon juice

NB: If you can get Lemon Grass, add a few strands in the brew also.

Should end up with a cupful of huey!

Bring the above to boil in about a litre of water for at least 30 minutes until mixture is about 1/4 in volume.

Add.....

2 teaspoons honey

1 satchet Med Lemon

1 tot Ginger Brandy

Drink it piping hot, slowly....and stay in bed!

I find drinking plenty of orange juice and then sweating the virus out is the way to go.
