Speed ratings for the main contenders with previous Vaal Sand form –

R1 WKR MDN 1200m
72…Highland Lad 3/1
70…Ad Kahn 16/1
63…Royal Stock 40/1
??…Tarfeeshana 12/10
??…First Sugar 9/2
??…Dis’llbetheday 10/1
Tricky start to the card…Highland Lad has been consistent and is a definite quartet banker whilst Ad Khan showed mediocre sand form last year when with BPM and shall be included along with Royal Stock who ran reasonably on sand in May before ‘lesser’ performances on turf. Dis’llbetheday is interesting…seems short in the betting yet does not have to be a star to feature here.

R2 PIN STAKES 1600m
116…Pylon 4/10
107…Mr.Tobin 9/2
107…Magic Smoke 5/1
100…Dual Alliance 20/1
..97…Boy Oh Boy 40/1
..90…National Road 20/1
Does not look a contest!??!

R3 MDN-F 1200m
76…Mighty Mo 3/1
74…Cynara 16/1
73…Rolling Ruby 4/1
72…Swift Bow 9/2
65…Seeking Seattle 16/1
63…Smooth Sailing 33/1
??…Stroke One 2/1
Can the favourite Stroke One convert her turf form to the sand?
Cynara is ‘value’ if her last run can be forgiven whilst Swift Bow (also forgive last sand run) is the only contender well drawn and is the primary selection for the PA.

R4 GRAD. PLT 1200m
99…Invierno 5/2
90…Cookie Monster 11/10
84…Velvet Verona 33/10
81…Men and Mountains 40/1
79…Authenticated 40/1
79…Passion Pleaser 50/1
Is this just a come back run (a bit short) for Invierno, who won his maiden easily on his sand debut, or is he well enough to win?
Cookie Monster also won his maiden on the sand and has placed in good company on the turf. Not that sure about Velvet Verona’s ability, whilst the other 3 above need to recapture their best form to feature here and Authenticated could be the best of these.

R5 COND-F 1450m
103…Formation 1/1
..98…Velvet Jar 16/1
..96…Tomorrow’s Miss 33/10
..90…Shattered Image 11/2
..89…Go Indigo 16/1
..87…Princess Lily 10/1
Formation is certainly the class act here and likely to be warming up for the Emerald Fillies. Velvet Jar ran a career best last week whilst Tomorrow’s Miss has been ultra consistent in her last 3 sand runs as is the PA banker ( always like to ‘brass’ a ‘fav’).

R6 MR78 1450m
95…Baron Zemo 11/2
93…Commission Due 10/1
92…Where’s My Chop 9/2
88…Decameron 22/10
87…Velddrifter 14/1
85…Rock the Country 4/1
A competitive event where Baron Zemo can follow up again over 1450m if getting over from the wide draw whilst the consistent Where’s My Chop looks the main danger. Expecting Commission Due and Velddrifter to feature in the quartet…Decameron does not appeal today (brave or foolish with MGA runners).

R7 PIN STKS 1000m
116…Cape Winter 16/1
111…Across the Ice 18/10
111…Benbow 4/1
102…La Volta 3/1
Cape Winter is a classy sand sprinter and if at his best will take a lot of beating here...draw may be a problemAlthough Across the Ice is a 1000m winner he looks a touch vulnerable over the minimum and preference is for Benbow. Not keen on La Volta inspite of favourable draw, yet think that Napoleon Dynamite could be a big danger today.

R8 COND-F 1000m
104…Tayba 22/10
..96…Howhighcanufly 12/1
..90…Flying Foo 25/1
..89…Jackie O 14/1
..87…Boujis 25/1
..86…Club Captain 25/1
..??…Genuine Leather 11/10
Tayba looks really good here…the classy Genuine Leather either goes clear or beats herself. Club Captain has some good sand history and a return to form could see her feature.

Oh!!!! knowing how some people hate it, I simply can't resist (lmao!!)... hmmm, being English that number seems strangely familiar, its as though it has some great worldly significance and that whatever it is, England should have repeated whatever happened every vhance they've had since

Ah. Shrek. Don't get me started on the leeches, the vampires... the farkers in short >:D<

Have jottings on 7 races and undecided as to whether or not to post... question, you see a favourite's day?

My uninspiring treble for the day....
Race 4- cookie monster
Race 6 Where's my chop
Race 7 La Volta

Looks a day for the fancied horses, and backing favorites against my religion, so playing small
