Flash I sent one bookmaker emails about ten times and I still have no reply yet they send me promotions every week via email!!- I have even spoken to them face to face and shown them my account still has bets pending from 2011 but they do nothing - it is frustrating when nobody gets back to you !!

Hope these arent winning bets MrH.

Glad to hear some of you guys have no problems with Marshall's cause I have endless problems with them when I go play cash in their branches in East Cape. NOT with staff but with their system. EVERY bet I place being phoned in before they lay it. Cutting you back on bets. I was told personally by Marshals PE manager that "Durban will lay you what they feel like". When I phoned them in Durban i was politely told by a person named "Vince" that screening acc and cutting back players and closing accounts is done on regular basis. "That is why we have stayed so long in the game". He then proceeded to tell me that basically that they don't need my business.
And I am talking 5 to 10k bets. Not even close to the amounts that Racing Guru talk about. Bout 3 weeks ago I was in the Greenacres branch and I took ONE 10k and they wouldn't lay me anymore. I asked not even at new price? "Marshall's will lay you what they want" I was told by Manager Shane. Another example was punting a rugby. They laying -6 pts. Phone Durban... Half the bet at -6 and half -8. So I say no only give the half at -6. Durban says now no, all bets -8. I would have lost on both spreads but the question I ask Marshall's " if you don't hold the money how can you win". Are you not looking for turnover.
What's worse is that they put their staff under so much pressure by having to ph in all the bets and makes them look like the villains. To all the staff in East Cape, Greg,Bruce,Sam,Noeleen,Audrey and Jessica to name some, you doing a good job? Sorry Shane but you have just become a bossboy. You blame Durban and Durban says its you so nobody knows what's going on.
Pity Bettingworld left PE and Holly tax on sport else I would place all my cash bets there. I have now also had to go the impersonal way and play mostly online.
I would welcome Marshall's to come onto The Clan and tell me I am making these facts up and to please come online and explain why us mugs in east Cape are being "victimized".
I am not on a witch hunt cause all bookies have their good and bad. But when I read how "good" Marshall's is I had to post. But let me remind you clanners that a bookie will only treat you like gold as long as you a loser. I am definitely not a winning punter but another sick puppy but it is what I love doing. So why am i being "victimised"? Sorry Marshall's you are the worst. You take the cake!

here here y centaur marshalls are an absolute disgrace to the bookmaking industry ..i also got the speech from them,how any people punt with them is a mystery..

I concur 100%.

this is what happen when you expand and dont carry the culture across that make you the sucess before. also in my opinion jeremy is not half what hes father was as a bookmaker. better businessman for sure but never the better bookie.

Marshalls is sicking,I have a double and the opening leg the horse gets scratched so there's a delay I go up to the counter to restructure my bet,they refuse to change my bet both horses win I stand to pick R7500 in Kimberly race 2 and 3 whats my recourse???

what was the reason why they wouldn`t restructure?

If it is a fixed odds bet then the bet becomes a straight bet on the 2nd leg if the 1st leg is scratched and if the 2nd leg is scratched the first leg becomes a str8 bet,i believe that this is standard practise and not one that is solely a marshalls rule...

they could not get permission in time from there durban offices to cancel the bet

i have been punting all day with them and for them to cancel the bet and restructure should not be a problem, mountain rush was scratched and i wanted to replace it with pay master, the dbl that i then wanted was paymaster onto dolomite which would have worked out to 7500/500...which turned out to be a winning dbl

That is unfortunate there should surely have been more time given to restructure bets given that it was the fav that was scratched
