Morning, i must apologise for not replying earlier, but i was not logged on until now.

Thanks for getting in touch with me Greg and also to Hilton for contacting me on my cell. I appreciate the explanation and the gesture. I look forward to great service after the servers have been upgraded.

Just a simple phone call and explanation does really make all the difference.

Thanks again for the great customer service!

I'm guessing you are closer to 60 then to a vibrant young man who has everything going for him.

Although I only play with Hollywood/Bworld, I must say Hilton is a top class guy. Remember him from his days in Umhlanga/Ballito. Think he was the area manager back then.

I can confirm this after chatting to him yesterday.

Please be wary of the 4% bonus that WOS offers on tote payouts. While they do pay about 4% extra on tote dividends, the manager/clerk will latch onto the extra if you do not request a payout slip. I have witnessed this happen @ their Ballito branch this weekend. A bloke caught a quartet and was paid out the exact amount that the tote declared. Only realized that he was short paid when a local had pointed this out to him. All hell broke loose after that. Just be cautious when playing cash.

this is unacceptable...but i know that management prides themselves on making sure that u receive the receipt with each and every payout, and that u get paid out to the cent....in toti...when i collect..i feel its not necessary to give me the odd cents...but they insist i take it...marshalls can be very proud to have that honest people working in their toti branch...on numerous occassions i gave them extra and they made sure i got my money back...i'll say it again,,,they r top class

whilst i am on the topic...and i know mr.murrell reads this site ...explain this to me:

i took a bet with your clerk ,as i paid her,my phone rang..and as many can concur with me..we normally run out the tote to answer so as to not allow the person we speaking too know where we are...but be that as it may..when i returned to her station to collect the ticket,we couldn't find the ticket...just dissappeared...so i phoned head office and they said there is nothing that they can do about it and they cant cancel that ticket and reissue another ticket...it was a multiple to the value of R20 000,and it arrived...they made me wait the full 3 months and paid me on exactly the final date..i found the a bit sore..as all and sundry knew that that was my ticket and this is the point i wanna make....they have cameras in their rooms very hi tech ones....and it clearly shows me standing at the station.,me paying for it, the time corrolating with the time on the ticket,i mean its mine....but they wouldn't pay me because their argument was that if someone came with the ticket they would by law have to pay that person...even though i signed the lost ticket form...my poimt is:that that camera clearly shows whose ticket it is and surely that can be admissable as the lawful owner of the ticket....be more proactive and not get staid by laws and rules especially as you have sophisticated equipment these days...so let move forward on this lost ticket issue...and pay.

Pet annoyance with MWOS (online) - sometime ago they did a tweak so that betting closes without fail, at race off time.

Now when there are delays from early in the day (all races 10 minutes later than carded today for example), betting closes 10 minutes before the actual off of every race! :S
