McDonald was charged with contravening NHA rules by:
Failing to provide reasonable care and treatment to horses under his control.
Misleading stewards by intentionally concealing the presence of, and failing to provide access to, Fortis during the SPCA inspection.
McDonald pleaded guilty to both charges and the inquiry board found him guilty of both charges.
Which part are you missing Zenyatta, he pleaded guilty....:S

Greg he has appealed both charges ,do yourself a favour and call Steve Naude from the Cape Stipes and ask him about the matter in question.
If it was not about boxes there would be no trouble.
The horses are still in there boxes Mcdonald is still looking after them
Until the appeal is heard.
Big bullies vs the battler.
Take boxes any way possable.
Sounds like the movie ROADHOUSE

How can you appeal the charges after pleading guilty?

Part of your story is partly correct Zenyatta.......but I assure you, the horses, in general, are in a poor condition.

The SPCA never once said the horses were ill treated .I have since since spoken to the stipes in Cape town Mr Rodriguez about the situation.
If the horses were in such a bad situation the SPCA would have removed the horses from his care.
They said they were not in the best of condition .But horses are in good enough condition to remain inhis care.lol if they were bad they would have removed them.
Its simple we need your boxes.
Press releases are dangerous.TheJockey club have not released statement and if they thought horses are in bad condition they would have made sure horses are relocated.
Mcdonald has appealed the revoke of his license and this matter will go before the board,
He misled the Jockey Club about the horse Fortis as to were it was.
Thats his crime

The press write what sells papers.People love kicking people when down.
As i said the SPCA never said horses were ill treated.
Remember the issue about boxes.it will come about.
If the horses were in such bad condition why is John still looking after them.
Look at things with open head not closed doors.

Tooth if some is write ok.i never said horses are blossoming. But I have it on good authority they were not ill treated.
If you are caught speeding and you get a 2000 fine you appeal.
He has appealed the revoke of license.
As I said he did mislead the investigation.
