Cutting through the emotion... and I do feel for the losing punters in that race... most of the problems which are such an embarrassment to SA racing are caused by the stalls, I said it earlier today and I say it on at least a monthly basis... get new stalls you penny-pinching useless farkheads and you will solve so many of your problems in one move. To me, it is patently obvious and just simple common sense B)-

Hi

I see on TT that Racing abandoned due to Safety of Riders and Horses.

So now the bigwigs try and hide behind the Horses and Jocks, farking admirable of them but then again what else can one expect from the 'high & mighty'.

This whole episode is p
me off so have started the fire and opened my Red wine already.

Quite correct Englander, how often do we have starting stalls not opening properly.

I can picture it now

The Starter and The Stipes being chased around the course by irate punters.

Why are stalls like those used in NZ not used more commonly elsewhere(the ones without the overhead part of the stall),they seem so much safer for all.

sure there is a rule where the jockey must give his mount every opportunity and ride his horse out to the finish-line.

It was obvious it was a false start, where was the Flagman, chasing the dog? What is the role of the stipes in racing, because if they cannot see what happened they should not be employed in decision-making.

Ask the Jock, and did you notice when he began to ride the horse in earnest.
