Getting back to the race issue, apart from the idiots at football matches i dont come across any prejudice in my
village. There is a black guy who drinks in our local pub and he claims to be in he's words 'The Only Black In The Village'
We have a Chinese guy who manipulates my back and an Asian guy who runs the newsagent.
I would call them pillars of our community, the black guy supports Chelsea and we have shared many a pint
watching footy on Sky.Not trying to sound high and mighty, but its obviously a much bigger problem over in SA
than i thought...

I think most of the world suffers from 'classism' more than racism.
You can't buy class. (unless we talking football)

Tigger,i see your getting paranoid. You had to drop a wife into the conversation.
Let me remind you pal,Elton John was also once married to a woman.
Is 'Light' a terminology for gay...
We have some good ones for you and some in cockney slang.
Queen,Iron Hoof (poof),Fruit,Back Door Bandit,Uphill Gardener,Shirt Lifter,Donut Puncher...
Before you ask how i know so many, working at Covent Garden Market in my youth(hence my name) you come
across plenty of Mattress Munchers and they got and took lots of mickey taking, all tongue in cheeks of course.
I have no problem with wooly woofters(poofters),thats why we seem to get on so well...

@ GG - I finished High School in 2005, from what I can recall the History classes were dominated by the struggles of Apartheid... I dont think the syllabus has changed much... Having said that I feel that this, in a way is teaching our younger generations about racial issues... It is for them to interrept the message however they want, and some I think will turn racist from it...
@Ruby Clipper - well said, bottom line is that this is a charity event, and the celebrities are added to try draw more crowds to the race course on the day - wonderful idea...
suppose they were on the census - not being racist but +-70% of SA is made up of blacks, +-7% of whites, and the other couple is made up on the other races... Therefore - more black celebs in SA, therefore more repesentation in the event... Having said that, I think the celeb balancing is fair
- from a white guy
