Surprise....Has he played in that position before?.I know he's not played centre at Currie Cup level. Very surprise to see Brache not in the starting line-up

Yes we have had many pupils represent SA. I was not going to be one of them at rugby. Played soccer at junior school and had no idea how to play rugby until I got to College. In fact still had very little idea until I became a TV expert/coach in my later years after school!:)o Ps an interesting fact some might not know is that both World Cups that we won had Maritzburg College flyhalves. Must find another for the next World Cup!

Not exactly the topic, but i played WP schools rugby u/17 and u/19. Never went on with it after that due to personal reasons. Sad actually thinking back on it :(

With Super Rugby the no1 tournament don't you think the Currie Cup has lost its appeal a bit, kind of similar to the FA Cup in football compared to Champions League?

I was flyhalf at school, but chosen at fullback for the WP team. I use to do the place kicking as well........probably the one thing i regret, but the choice was out of my hands at that stage of my life.

Without a doubt Greg, 10 years ago the semi's and finals would be sold out by Monday afternoon. If the teams had all their Boks for the duration of the competition I think that would spark some interest. There is just too much rugby that is better than the Currie Cup.
