Mike, your reasoning is flawed and your assumptions probably inaccurate.

Val de Ra was set for an international campaign, but was retired when she bled through the nostirils. She was not entered with the thought that her most recent race would be her last.

What owner would run a horse of high quality with expectations of giving it an easy run, knowing it would be the horse's last start? What would be the point?

If your real question is: is the filly in top shape and will you be racing her with confidence, the answer is yes.
