Don`t think there is anything special running in Gauteng, but Pomodoro is a decent stayer who i think will get better and better..

Jackson could be a star ,Variety Club is very decent and GMTGL last run can be forgiven (going)..

ps dont forget Potala Palace is going to win the met...

Pomodoro I have always thought is the best 3yo running in KZN(off season at the time) and Gauteng.. Imo might be able to give Jackson a run at Daily News 2000 and Variety Club as well.. Pity about Slumdog being injured.. Not a bad 3 y o crop this.. Better than last years I would say

i think the 3yos are strong..gimmethegreenlight and variety club have proven that they are two of the best we have seen in years..how many 3yos have done that in the queens plate?? then there is jackson..these 3 are obviously a cut above at the moment though..

I think we have mediocre bunch. For me the sign if a true chamoion is consistently being the race horse. And the way some of this lot fold and crumble makes you think they are good on a day horses but not real champions.
Champions are consistent.

you dont get more consistent than variety club..gimmethegreenlight's only bad run was his 2nd on the highveld..pomodoro has been consistently at the top too
