Was Nacarat the dam of Red Ray trained by Alistair Gordan ? If so how god was she has it only had about 4 starts or so and lost once. Nacarat's dam Tawny Red produced Set Afire, Rudra and Aquila Rapax, all top class horses so it could have been something special.

It was indeed...I think the oldest Grade 1 winner was William Penn (11) also has the remarkable feat on his record of returning to racing from a stint at stud and ran on the same day as on of his juveniles, just william debuted, but he was not a sprinter
Give everything but up!

The greatest sprinter I have ever seen is the mare BLACK CAVIAR(AUS). Her cruising speed was out of this world. She was absolutely phenomenon. Her turn of foot was instant.

While he may not have been the most talented sprinter around, "Hear The Drums" had a heart like a lion...

Yes she was trained by Gordon. She won her debut at clairwood by many lenghts and was ridden by jeff lloyd. She was backed into favourite as if the result was known. I also remember corrine bestel sending out a lovely horse called Olympic Flag the same day at clairwood ridden by Rene Bonehead. Also backed into favourite and won has he liked. I think olympic flag was probably the best Bestel had trained!
