Give him a carrot for me Rob, I remember taking a double at clairwood with your two horses about four years ago , extinct was one of them but I can't remember the other horses name but I know I made enough to buy a new motor for one of my cabs! Muzi rode both horses that day and both were around 5-1
Btw your boet bought the last spaceship ever produced at the shongweni sales last year, is that horse showing anything or has he run yet?

It all comes down to one that held a special place in our hearts....
My dad who's 81 says that nothing in South Africa was better than Colorado King...
He also mentions Sentinel with great fondness.
Lord Randolph, Flobayou, Senor Santa and Flaming Rock was huge favourites of mine and the current Var express fillies are all wonderful and so was the magnificent What a Winter but I have to concur with one or two on the forum that the Terrance Millard mare Sunera was the absolute best that I saw!
She was in a class of her own and I've not seen the like of her in this country IMVHO...

At Durbanville 1000m. It beat Marie Galante and Taban on a weekday meeting.

Yip they were good better than good. Your part of the country had a good one in Sligo Bay for the later Mr P Miller.

Yes, Sunera too.
But Val De Ra, Mythical Flight, Another Colour and Shea Shea all scorched the Computaform Sprint. Sorry, but all the other horses mentioned in this post just wouldnt have held a candle to these five at their best. And I am from the old school!
And when I served my punting appenticeship I have special heart places for Cool Gambler and Catagura - for Beyond The Pale, Khargisland, Frodo & Elvisisking
