The Devil's stable companion might be roped in for the donkey work? But I agree, that is a concern.

ARE YOU NOT CONFUSING EUROPA POINT with headstrong?

Could this be a prep run for JJ as the Golden Horse Sprint is next month?

Doubt Anton would travel from Pmb to Durban and then fly to Jhb to give a horse a prep....

Matilda's love should run well in race 4. She has ability but must not hit the front too early as she tends to turn it up.
Hoping she can win ,and that The Planter can make it a stable double for Gary and his team.

Some lovely racing between the mine dumps toinight - and DJ Fresh is apparently being used as an additional draw card - even if I were attending I'd be sure to leave early in order to miss that particular attraction - yes I know, showing my age.

Thoughts:

R2: Money for Regal Stride, but Mogok's Desire will take a lot of beating imo - even if the stable is not exactly known for consistency
R3: Captain Mccaw looks the right one, but is no star, so maybe a few others need to be considered; Enblazoned Star ran a nice race (at 40/1) when last trying this course and distance, Macavity is a juvenile (according to the Computaform at least) and certainly does not have to be a star to feature against these - and for a real roughie consider Glastonbury - the stable has been finding a few places of late with huge outsiders
R4: Not an easy start to the JP - Matilda's Love should prefer this trip, but does not have the best of draws; Bee-em-tee should also improve this trip, but watch out for the stable mate who debuts from a nice draw; also the Mohideen coupling needs inclusion and for some value consider Beautiful Dawn, who has a nice draw and tries shorter again
R5: Another competitive maiden plate - go wide
R6: JJ returns, obviously should win at best, but there is a nagging doubt of this being a prep for better things and also most of his wins have been over 1200 - so maybe Mannequin can give him a run for his money.
R7: Obviously Dancewiththedevil deserves to be favorite, but there could be a lack of pace in the race and also the ground has firmed up a bit, so she is vulnerable imo - the 3yr old Hidden Beauty is very classy and could benefit in a slow run race, and imo it would not be wise to ignore the de Kock coupling in the P6
R8: The Planter (bit of a strange name?) faces an extremely weak field, so should win this - but comes out of the same formline as Posse Comitatus (who ran poorly on Saturday) and also Hollywood Chief - note his run in the 5th - if that runs poorly, we may be in for a big upset here, but I can't see it

Enjoy (tu)

Lol @ Frodo.....us elderly wallflowers.

Interesting that racing is using strategies regarded as no-no's by their competition..........you don't see casinos or poker rooms having loud music or any fashion shows or circus type activities to get the custom..........in fact they make the gambling as peaceful as possible, and treat the gamblers like VIPs trying not to irritate them.....makes you think (tu)
