Easy we getting back to a point I made in another thread. Horses make the jockeys most of the time and just for interest sake I will ask Anton if he would have thought of going to work for Sheik H and will let you know what he says. He is phoning me later about my nominations that come out today. I started my 1st post by saying it was an"easy" answer as a joke but you really got upset and that gets my back up. You are entitled to your opinion whether it is right or wrong and my opinion having worked closely with both is the same as Michael's in that there is no comparison and Anton is much better but as with your's this is our informed opinion which we entitled to.A further point is I dont think Anton or his family ever need to worry about money. He was and might still be on a very good retainer here.

what ever he is n you would at a minimum need to multiply it by 12.53

and if he "woul not have " gone because he is comfortable then i say

scared of the challenge of the WORLD stage.

As soon as Richard Hill's said he was retiring ANY jockey worth his salt should have been firing in his cv whether he thought he had a chance or not.

Also ask him is Sheik H asked him?

Easy, your initial post was your normal intention to anagonise so lets not pretend it wasn't.
You clearly resent Saffers and anything South African.
There are many forums in the UK.........I wonder why you dont spend your time there?
May I suggest that if you intend to post with the sole intention to irritate you change your pseudonum to "Thrush"

harry

if you "hered" it it must be true

rob

i love sa , thing is the self patting regarding our racing needs to be put into perspective

All i have ever said is that certain men in racing CANNOT be blind/oblivious to SA "talents" yet they still stick to the tried and tested methods.

Hughes lost his job
Hils retired

Now in the past cauthen came over, Gary Stevens came over, EVEN silvestre de sousa come over and made it a success.

WHY i ask are these clearly influential people in racing not banging on Antons and Bonje's door if its so bloody OBVIOUS to everyone on this forum that they superior jockeys or even Kevin Shea's door. Every season he rides awesomely in Dubai. Surely he is witnessed by real important people yet no one has parted with £350k a year retainer???

I just dont get it, makes no sense.

or

maybe they feel that they dont make the cut?

Maybe the top jockeys here who are good enough to ride for the Sheik do not want to live in England( which I am sure they would have to) no matter the money.

Easy, Anton Marcus has no chance of ever riding for the Sheik because he is Jewish.
