Just had an argument with a friend of mine. He said he couldnt see them added into last years figures and I was sure I had seen posts concerning it last year. (ie- that they do count)
He wants to call Jockey Club now. Lol. Some people can't admit when they wrong.

they fall under the auspices of the South African Jockey Club and all wins do count in our log

Everything counts, breeding, owners, trainers, MR's, etc, etc. It falls under the NHRA.

Zim doesn't count for anything.

they can't convert earnings for trainers, stallions, etc.

why should it, anyway. It's a different country.

Karel it definately counts for the jockey's log, unless a new ruling has been put in place

I looked on the NHRA website

took G Lerena as example
added the SA provinces, which add to the SA total
his Zim rides are not included

maybe do a cross check to make sure?

Karel it would appear that you are 100% correct they no longer count towards the SA Jockey log...

We called the Jockey club. Very interesting. The website is incorrect. Even for last year. Zim winners do count and will be added on manually. Why this is the case, I don't know.

will be interesting if the championship by any chance has to be decided by adding on Zim wins
