i take my hat off to mdk for running igugu today considering all the trials and tribulations that she had to endure,,,for me missing her prep run in the cape and then more importantly having time to settle into the cape was the biggest negative and when you want to win gp ones you have to have everything go smoothly...he was correct in saying that she was abt 90 percent ready for today and she didnt run to her rating of 117 in possibility 4 to 5 pounds below it if not more depending who was the line used...i think many other trainers would have scratched her but he kept her in...i unashamedly went to bt her in jackpots as i thought she was completely the wrong price considering her prep and getting her beat would ensure a nice payout multiple times but at the end of the day her guts and her trainers mastery won her the day

You 100% right Pirates. Also worried me a lot but they both prevailed.

Before we can say that lets just think on the present let alone the past. Is she better over say 2000m than Val De RA is over 1000m? I would have to have a long think before I answered my own question.

If Igugu can do that when she is below 100%, on an unfamiliar track, and cut into behind (btw I hope it's not too serious?) what can she do when all goes well for her?

World class team and a world class filly, well done!

She is VERY good and especially if she was probably 90% right and she can only beat what she runs against but how good would you rate Bravura and a very fast finishing Run for it? They would not have got close to the Politicians, Horse Chestnut's ect even if they had been 90% fit but she is by far the best we have over this type of distance.

I thought IGUGU was beaten until the horse on the inside moved up to her. Then she seemed to kick and great win.
