Peterson has once again proved that the selectors of the SA cricket team are clueless. They dropped him for the Australian series and the first two matches of this series. My money is that he gets dropped for the 1st test against NZ next month. If SA are to reach their target of been the number 1 side in the world then the captain and the selectors should put personal friendships aside and pick the best side to do the job. Point in case Boucher (dropped from the 1 day squad since Smith is no longer the captain - coincidental or not??? and Morkel. How can you drop a player who takes 8 wickets?

You know players are performing kak when Dale Steyn has a higher average than Boucher, Smith, Rudolph, Prince and Kallis (until today's ton)... and that's as a batsman... Would love to know how many more times Smith will go out the way he did this am, chopping onto his leg-stump... been given way too many chances, cant facethe left-arm pacemen and has failed to fire.. in fact the only highlights I can remember are his exploits in England in 2003 .... Having Morkel in the side sends the wrong message to youngsters, perform and then carry drinks..

Kallis silenced his critics...just like racing you lose form but never lose your class......What a great innings and may he go on and get 200 plus

Smith should now do the honorable thing and feign a long term injury....

Reading all your comments/predictions in one bundle was "inneresting", as the Americans would say. Specially those about Kallis. How many times in the last several years have I heard people say that he's all washed up, getting old, can't see properly any more, etc., etc.?
As for Smith, you do have such short memories. He's been superb before, and he's still young enough to bounce back. Then you'll all be eating your words, with or without ketchup.
Funny old game, cricket. Probably because it's rather like life.

Kallis is one of the greatest cricketers ever and yet so many of his own countrymen can't see it.

FFS stop being a bladdy twit...GS has averaged 50 as an opener over a long period...no one else in world cricket does that...iam sure you dont get it so let me put like this...if Muzi rides 2 winners per meeting for the next 3 years he might be comparable...

Great players but not very good selectors besides did any of them win a world cup? No

Kirsten won the WC...but even you should know winning the cricket WC is like winning the FA cup...anyone can...the real prize in cricket is winning series especially away from home...ask the Indians what they would give to win a series in Aus or SA..

Kirsten did not win the WC, Dhoni did. Indian batters cant bat of quick paced wickets, never could and never will because they are brought up on easy paced wickets. How can you compare the FA Cup with the world cup. The world cup is played over a month whereas the FA Cup is not only football but is played over 7 months in between Carling Cup, EPL, Champions League, Europa League and International matches.

Nothing tops test cricket...Indians cant bat on quick paced pitches...ya right...so why have India won series in England...many of batsmen scored big runs in Aus...they have a supreme record at Eden Gardens which is not a slow wicket...you talking nonsense...SL and India have won WC's both on the sub continent and away but can see them winning test series in SA and Aus...cmon this is schoolboy stuff that iam saying.
