Jockey / Trainer......what really happened???
13 years 6 months ago
Last Friday in PE, Wayne Agrella got off the horse Forest Digger in the last race. Does anyone out there know what happened between the jock and the trainer? It had to have been quite serious for the jockey to refuse to ride?

Yeah, please let us know..
I did my money in on Forrest Digger, if I knew what had happened I wouldve cancelled my bet

Did the trainer have a change of tactics that the jockey never agreed with? How can the jock then just jump off? Surely he should get a fine for what he done?
Forest digger flew for 3rd and Magic pointed out that he is entered for a 2000m next week. Should be ideally suited.
I would still like to know what happened here

I heard that Wayne walked into the parade ring and said to Mitch that he believed 2 horses had FD's measure. Mitch wasn't happy hearing that and an argument started.

So Wayne was right then 2cents...lmao.
Seriously though, can the carded rider just not ride? For no apparent reason?? Then the betting public feel done in, cos they now get a less experienced jockey

2cents,
That means that Mitch Wiese, really fancied his horse and was upset with maybe the lack of confidence his jockey gave him?

Wayne Agrella certainly comes across really cocky and full of himself in the interviews,so could easily be a personality clash!

Mitch`s Trainer comments to owners are always over confident, think the guy has just got a positive outlook..
Would be the last thing he wanted to hear

howzit 2 cents....i always thought about this...and i see now it has cropped up:
many many times Striker makes a comment that he thinks the favourite he is riding is actually out at the weights or sometimes he says that he feels that the horse he is riding has him beat by other horses in the race....now the question...u think he is riding them accordingly.....i think sometimes striker beats himself on his lack of confidence...or ...his summing up of the race....he has done this quite often

Racing Guru I said the exact same thing a while ago and got lambasted. Striker rode a few for me. I get to the parade ring with high hopes, a great jockey, just to hear my horse hasn't got a chance. Then rather keep quiet and ride the horse and get it over with.
I think I said I prefered Khumalo to ride my horse. He tries every ride.
I would prefer that Striker should tell the owners that their horse has no chance, or that 3 or 4 horses has its measure before he accepts the ride. Well that's my opinion, and it doesn't actually count anymore because I've given up ownership due to various reasons.
