There is no point in going over other examples,of which there are a few ,as those 2 tell you everything you need to know about the selections.

How do you then manipulate a field.....you appoint an independant panel and give them discretion.
How independant would you regard G.Hawkins,P.Davis & R.Smith.
Within such discretion,Clinton has been told that his nominee lost out because it is a sprinter.....The Sire Cataloochee has already produced winners over a mile and there is every reason to believe the dam line would produce progeny effective to at least 1400m,which in most countries is regarded as an extended sprint,anyway.Who has the right to predict....it must be the most inexact science in racing!
Yes I am prejudiced and no I don't have a share in the horse.....my prejudice is fairplay!

(BTW the 4th horse in the race with Red Barrel and Americano was Memezo, a RTR candidate trained by Clinton but not nominated as not in the same class as Blazing Sunset.......you figure.)

has the final field been announced as i cant find it on sahorseracing.co.za...the above scenario actually is very typical of how the racing industry is run in south africa so it shouldnt surprize anybody

How about another runner still in the running.....Tony's Tipple could not even win a Handicap maiden,never mind at level weights, at 2 attempts,.....eventually breaks the duck at the 13th attempt ???????? in a MR handicap.

If these are the best horses to come off the sale I don't think it is a very good advert for the sale. Some horses with only a few runs under the belt could improve and become quite decent, but I can't see any Pierre Jordaan or Igugu in this field.
