shayne pls help - i can't get the video to load - it says connecting and then when it says ready nothing happens - can someone not upload to you tube or a format that works as i'd love to see this race - i have listened to the commentary on the tab site but it fails to capture what is discribed by those that saw this race - i feel like i might just have nissed one of those special moments in racing!

Believe it or not, even people who have won one or other of them sometimes get them confused. Doesn't say too much for the marketing side of things, does it? I mean, who'd confuse the July with the Gold Cup or the Met with the Queen's Plate......?

Never mind. Perana is an interesting runner, obviously, and as long as he's a bit more savvy this time he could go close against a field that I don't find to be very hot hot hot at all. We all know that De Kock can successfully push the boundaries, and he'd be the first to point out that the Summer Cup is a handicap and the WFA factor is therefore built in. It's what he said after Ancestral Fore won the Gold Cup in June, and he's right. As he usually is!(

I must say I am very happy with my 12/1 win and 18/10 top 5. I see Perana opened up at 28/10 and was claimed into 2/1. All he needs to do now is win. I must say I certainally wouldn't be rushing to my bookie to take the 2/1 though.
