Press Coverage

Just for the sake of fun, Team Valor International did not send out any news release to any of the writers or publications regarding the third-place finish last weekend of SAF-bred Gypsy's Warning in the $750,000 Grade 1 Beverly D, the Arlington Million counterpart for fillies and mares that for prestige and money is second in the United States only to the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf.

FYI, SAhorseracing.com (Ash Maharaj) and Sporting Post (Sarah Whitelaw) were the only two that wrote anything about it.

Conspicuous by their absence were Racingweb (Charl Pretorious) and Tabonline (Nikki Garner).

No surprises at all.

Barry,

why dont you just leave SA racing alone. To be fair you come across as a bit arrogant and a bit of a parasite.

To the people that matter, our presence is much appreciated and welcomed.

As long as I can continue to find and develop equine talent in South Africa, we plan to continue to race and breed there.

In this regard, we will continue to comment where we feel it will do some good.

We have fished pretty well in all of the big ponds racing has to offer in England, France, Canada, United States, Arab Emirates, Italy, Germany, etc.

We like racing in South Africa.

We don't like some aspects of racing there and we hope that by speaking out, some pressure might be brough to bear on them and change will occur.

Barry,in my opinion your involvement has been, and continues to be, a benefit to our racing. There will always be the non-achievers who will be envious but I'm sure you are used to that.
Hope your success continues!

People that buy and remove............. to race overseas advertising the product have got to be more valuable than those who put in nothing at all!

.....ummmm, Mr. Muir is American I believe......................"easy" mistake to make though ;)

I like Barry Irwin and I like Team Valor, but then again I like most of the other people on easy's list too. As long as you have the betterment of horse racing and the horse itself above all else, then I like you!!!!

:D

You carry right on, Barry. I think it was Sangster and co back in the 70s who first came to the firm realization that good horseflesh is a commodity that knows no national boundaries.

The next sale is trying it's very hardest to attract foreign buyers, including trainers. I thought it was a good idea.

Jallad, Ipi Tombe, Illustrador, El Piche, Empress Club were bought and removed from somewhere.
