SA should select this young guy Brevis in their squad for the tour of NZ. I have never seen such a talented player since Tendulkar and Lara as this guy. But then Boucher and co could not spot talent if it bit then on the arse.

Well set, then lose 3 wickets in 7 balls all false shots. Seems like cricketers from SA learn from a young age to choke.

England openers smashing SA to all parts, the way that its going it will be all over before 25 overs have been bowled.

Pity the opener went crazy and put the match beyond SA

Feel for Keegan Peterson having Covid and now ruled out of NZ tour. He was superb against India and would have down well in NZ.

Agree...starting to make progress with his career and this is an unfortunate, unnecessary bump...but he'll be back strong...

The England cricket selectors have handed the upcoming series in the West Indies on a silver platter to the home side. How can they leave both Anderson and Broad out of the travelling squad. They did not perform in the Ashes, but neither did any other bowler except maybe for Wood in the final test. West Indian opening batsman must be sleeping much easier.

Tomorrow and Sunday is the IPL auction.

Rabada is one of the marquee players and on the highest base price.

The South African teenage sensation, Dewald Brevis, is also in the auction. I expect him to go for a huge amount in the draft.

West Indies are currently getting a hiding by India. This Odean Smith, can hit the ball and can bowl as well. His strike rate in all formats is over 100 in batting. He can be a dark horse to go for a big price.

Rabada went for over a million dollars.

De Kock for under a million dollars.

Brevis already a multi millionaire now. Went for almost 400k dollars. In the region of 6 million rands and his only 19. Cricket South Africa gets a percentage cut of from all players sold.

Spare a thought for the auctioneer who collapsed earlier in the day. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Obviously Brevis is a very talented batter (and he can bowl a bit as well), but to throw him into the IPL mix is crazy imo - I see he is currently playing in the local T20 tournament, and for me he needs to show here that he can play with the 'men' - before being asked to compete with the best international T20 players in the IPL

He made 23 of 25. He was trying to hit everyball out of the park. He opened the batting with de Kock. He is playing today. I think Mumbai Indians picked him now so if he does carry his abilities in the next two years he would have cost alot more next year.

On a separate note, this 21 year old, Tristan Stubbs made 80 odd of 31 balls, I think. It was a superb knock although he did say it was one of those days. He could be the one to watch in the future.
