Trump admitted, they did not think that Iran would attack the neighbouring states, those that had American bases. All those bases are ruined and the forces are living in hotels. Iran has further warned that would entitle them to attack those hotels.

Regards America creating a blockade of the Strait that was never closed, hasn't been thought through, in that, China and India have claimed this war has nothing to do with them and it is illegal for America to stops their ships from Iranian ports - that would be an act of war. China are sending their own war ships to escort their cargoes/vessels through the strait and if America interfers, then it will be a full on war.

Trump has not given any of this any thought, he acts like a strongman but is clueless. His own VP said attacking Iran was a bad idea.

By him attacking NATO, The Pope and everyone else in between, he is not doing himself and America any favours.
