2 horses, Springfield Boy and Corbett Cross had to be euthanised this week That’s 78 horses since 2000.

242 died on British racetracks in 2024

Crowds are dwindling at jump meetings Cheltenham was down 40k over the 4 days 

Time to have a rethink about the height of the chase fences and also have more flexible hurdle fences 

Maybe reduce the length of the chase events as horses become extremely tired toward the end of the race then lose concentration making way for a fall and possible death
