OK all just to recap on day 2;

The weather and 4Racing coverage put a damper on the day but a mixed set of results kept our heads still in front.

Sir Gerhard was a good start.
The scratching of Bravesmansgame was a pity but the fav arrived for exotics.
We expected a big result in the Coral and we got a 50/1 winner.
Shishkin did not show up but Energumene was impressive.
Tiger Roll did extremely well and would have been great to go out on a Roll if it wasn't for the stable companion.
The best result for me was the bumper, Facile Vega very impressive in terrible conditions but kept the kitty strong and the serious ATCs running.

Day 3

Weather is sure to still play a part.

The opener is a hard call between Galopin and Bob and should be worth watching.
The second is another impossible to call
ALLAHO is keeping in line with the real hotties and can arrive for the serious ATC punters.
The stayers is always a difficult call with a few of my favourite horses running but will stick to Champ.
The last two races take as many as possible for big exotic payouts.

Good Punting

"I thought I was always going to get there. I knew I could be the most hated man in Cheltenham on Wednesday evening if I won." Jack Kennedy aboard Delta Work after defeating stable mate Tiger Roll.

Far better day weather wise but suspect that the track will be very soft, heavy in places

Day Three The Cheltenham Festival

🏇 2.10 - Ballyandy
Has returned to form winning his last two starts in nice style at Fakenham and Chepstow both over just short of 3m on soft and heavy ground respectively. Has good previous form at Cheltenham too, so the changing ground shouldn’t be a problem for him around here. Expected to go very well for 10lb claimer Finn Lambert and can prove good each way value.

🏇 4.10 - Guy
Won his first chase at Huntingdon in October ‘20 but has since had four 2nd places, three this season including good runs at Ascot in a class 2 and Leicester last time, at trips around 2m 4f/5f. Goes from a mark of 134 and bottom weight today over 2m 4+f, which can put him in with a sporting each way chance. Jordan Nailor rides and claims 3lbs.

🏇 5.30 - Rocco
Won at Wincanton in November, the class 1 Badger Beer chase from todays mark of 134 on good ground, but pulled up on the last two occasions up 5lbs and 3lbs respectively. That was over the same trip as today of 3m 2f and though good ground preferred, the expected drying ground today, should still suit. Zac Baker rides in this amateur riders race and though long odds, a good run can be expected.

What a heartbreaking fall after a superb round of perfect jumping when well clear ......😪
It actually cleared the last then took a stumble.

Certainly was 1/100 in running.

OK just a recap on St Patrick's Day.

Heartbreak for Galopin Des Champ but plenty more to come from this one and well done to the in running punters that took 999/1 on Bob Olinger.
As expected ALLAHO did not disappoint for the ATC punters and also worth following.
Flooring Porter another excellent front running performance in the stayers.

Day 4 and Gold Cup day.

I think we are just about OK from a punters view point and there are probably better places to find a certainty, that is probably CERTAINLY although I hope Easy Living gives him a run for his money in PE.

Vauban can win the opener but a couple of decent horses to beat.
State Man should run well in the second but plenty opposition.
Hillcrest is appropriate to where I am living but another open event.
I have slight preference over Gavin to win the Cup and will have a punt.
Billaway can have another winner for Mullins.
Mount Edna to finish the festive on a winning note for the punters

Good Punting 👍
