From the Racing Post

Frankly Darling
5.40 Newcastle Monday

Also on the opening card, Paddy Power are cautious of an odds-on chance that could form the nucleus of day one multiples.

A daughter of Frankel trained by John Gosden, Frankly Darling is the filly in question and looked a surefire future winner when runner-up on her debut at Yarmouth last year.

“Maidens at Newcastle aren’t always on the radar and while we wouldn’t be afraid of an odds-on chance, Frankly Darling has reportedly been going well at home and Mr Gosden looks to be trying to win a maiden with her before possibly heading for a fancy address," said Paddy Power spokesman Paul Binfield.

"She’s fascinating as owner Anthony Oppenheimer enjoyed Derby glory with Golden Horn.”

One long shot worth a small punt is Financial Conduct in race 8. Loves the all weather and stays all day. Only runner for Charlie Mann and gets the services of Jim Crowley. I got 33/1 ... must admit though, Ice Machine in that race does look the business and 3/1 a rather generous price.

Looks like a lottery so far at Newcastle, let`s hope we get the double in France to get out

It`s actually brilliant to be moaning about racing again

Frankly Darling became the latest exciting youngster trained by John Gosden to advertise her talents at Newcastle, producing an impressive five-length success to light up the first fixture after British racing's shutdown.

The 10-11 favourite, having her second career start, still shaped as though she had plenty to learn, but the manner in which she saw out her 1m2f assignment was quite taking.

The daughter of Frankel is now a general 12-1 chance for the Investec Oaks on July 4, with jockey Robert Havlin impressed by Monday's display while admitting his mount was still pretty green.

"Turning in I was fairly confident, she'd organised herself by then," said Havlin. "I always felt she was going to put the race to bed."
