Alcaraz althoug losing against top 10 player Berrettini, definitely will be a force to reckon with in the future at only 18. Was hoping for Auger Aliassame but he has his moments of glory. Plays well against top ranked players but mediocre against weaker opponents. Hoping he can progress further.

Djokovic visa has been denied and rightly so in my opinion. Same rules should apply to everyone.

Medvedev prefers hard courts. Thiem likes clay but his grandslam was the US Open hard court. Zverev on his day can compete against the best as shown by winning the Olympics and the season ending tournament twice. Tsitsipas can go toe to toe but is lacking temperament. Shapovalov good in his day as well. Rublev yet to win ATP 1000 tournament but is definitely improving with Sinner of Italy. Felix Auger Aliassame yet to win a tournament but was in the top 10. Hoping he can do well. Alcaraz only 18 and definitely the want to watch out for the future. Depending how the draws end up, Berrettini seems always in the hunt.

Medvedev although losing and not having the ideal preparation will be my choice for the Australian Open.

As for the women, the form reversals is like Flamingo and the old Vaal Sand. Osaka if she leaves her off court drama at home she will be hard to beat. A fit Bianca Andreescu will be hard to oppose. It will be interesting to see Gauff and Fernandez as they still teenagers. They have time to get stronger.

Mentioned 10 players name in the mens, Thiem never play, forgot he was still recovering from injury. So from the 9 players 6 made the quarter finals. Omitted, Nadal, purposely cause everyone knows his him. Shapovalov, Aliasamme, Sinner and Alcaraz was not ranked in the top 8 but they made the quarter finals. Sadden by Aliassame, had a match point albeit not on his serve. Being following from his teen days. His compatriot, Shapovalov, took Nadal to 5 sets. Alcaraz definitely will improve alot.

Could be a Medvedev and Nadal final now. Nadal will be hoping for the elusive 21 but Medvedev has been the best hard court player in the last three yesrs. Could get his revenge from that US Open final defeat.against Nadal.

As for the women. Too many form reversals. Hoping for Madison Keys. She was a power player and should go for her shots. Recently her aggression has slowed down. She lost in a Grand Slam Final but first needs to beat Barty to get to the final. Barty will have the whole of Australia behind her and already has multiple Grand Slams.

Rafa Nadal has just lost in the second round in straight sets of Australian Open 2023. His form was erratic coming into the Australian Open.

Hoping for Felix Auger Aliassame to win the title.

Djokovic will be hoping to equal the Grand Slam record and stands a good chance of doing so.

In the Ladies, form reversals is common. Only Iga Swiatek performs consistently.

Hoping for Coco Gauff and sentimentality for Ons Jabeur. If it was not for injuries Bianca Andreescu will have been a top player.
