The Betting World 1900 will be run over 1900 m at Greyville Racecourse on Friday evening, May 21. Mike will be sending out his ‘A’ team for their first outings on the east coast, including Fort Vogue in the 1900 feature, Pocket Power in the pinnacle and River Jetez over a mile. Mike Bass reports:
“My horses in Durban are all doing very well including Pocket Power, I have decided not to run him in the Casino sprint and opted rather for the 1400 pinnacle stakes on Friday night. It was a last minute decision for me and I think the trip at this moment in time will suit him better. I must say I am very happy with his appearance and work at the moment and he should run his usual race”
“Fort Vogue Galloped very well 2 weeks back with Pocket Power. He has not raced since the Met, and it has been difficult for me to pick and find the right races for him. He is working very well but I suspect he may just need this race a little bit, however on his current work I expect him to run very well”
Love is In the Air, River Jetez and Croc Valley will also be having their first KZN outings on Friday night in a conditions mile. I have been impressed with their work at this stage of the campaign and so expect them all to run well.
